De ahí que el propósito del artículo es analizar la seguridad como elemento fundamental de convivencia ciudadana en Venezuela. Se realizó con base a una revisión documental, que permitió concluir que la inseguridad ha aumentado en el país producto de la delincuencia; lo que a su vez afecta la convivencia ciudadana, por lo que se requiere potencias la seguridad en una acción colectiva y colaborativa de todos los actores sociales.; Citizen security is one of the fundamental elements to guarantee and satisfy citizen coexistence; It is the State that is responsible, through its security forces, to control and safeguard the security of citizens within its jurisdiction; enforcing its indications and legal norms, always respecting Human Rights. De allí, que la seguridad ciudadana desde la educación requiera axiológicamente de nuevos pensamientos y acciones sustentadas en un nuevo discurso, que comportan para los ciudadanos su participación en los programas dirigidos por los órganos de seguridad ciudadana. En función de lo expuesto, el objetivo del artículo es reflexionar acerca de la educación para la seguridad ciudadana. Para ello, se asumió el enfoque integrador transcomplejo, por lo tanto, se empleó el multimétodo, los informantes claves fueron tres actores socioeducativos de la comunidad del barrio 23 de Enero, ubicado en el estado Aragua. Se concluye que la educación de la seguridad ciudadana constituye la garantía, que padres, representantes y docentes deben coadyuvar en un esfuerzo mancomunado que permita generar un ambiente que impulse una serie de acciones encaminadas al bienestar individual y colectivo.; The weakening of education is evident in the face of the change from the pernicious valuation to criminal life. Based on the above, the objective of the article is to reflect on education for citizen security. For this, the transcomplex integrative approach was assumed, therefore, the multi-method was used, the key informants were three socio-educational actors from the community of the 23 de Enero neighborhood, located in the state of Aragua. It is concluded that the education of citizen security constitutes the guarantee that parents, representatives and teachers must contribute in a joint effort that allows generating an environment that promotes a series of actions aimed at individual and collective well-being.
