CULTURA BIOÉTICA E INVESTIGACIÓN EN LA EDUCACIÓN UNIVERSITARIA

Abstract

A pesar de que el origen de la bioética data de más de cuarenta años, muchos estudiantes e incluso docentes del sector universitario no están muy familiarizados con el término, ni tienen suficiente información sobre su significado e implicaciones en la vida humana. Por tal motivo, el propósito de la presente disertación es reflexionar sobre la Cultura Bioética en la investigación en el ámbito universitario. Partiendo de conceptos fundamentales en el cual cultura supone cultivo e implica promoción de vida; cultura y bioética están relacionadas, en actos y hábitos de conducta que promueven la vida humana. El término bioética hace referencia al bios, es decir a la vida humana y ésta no es unívoca y sólo puede pensarse desde imprecisos y diversos costados que han generado múltiples disciplinas. En la investigación en el ámbito educativo debe atenderse entre otras, a lo expresado en el Código de Ética para la Vida (2011), en relación al respeto ala dignidad de la persona como valor inalienable, respeto por su integridad física y psicológica, reconocimiento de sus derechos y el respeto por los objetos y logros que le pertenecen. La investigación con humanos sólo podrá realizarse con el consentimiento informado, previo y libre de la persona. Finalmente, una auténtica reflexión bioética será la resultante del debate entre la sociedad en que vivimos y la sociedad en que queramos vivir; un debate que no sólo tendrá en cuenta las “razones” médicas y legales sino las éticas, históricas, sociales, religiosas, psicológicas, antropológicas, geográficas y económicas.

Although the origin of bioethics dates back more than forty years, many students and even teachers of the university sector are not very familiar with the term, nor do they have enough information about their meaning and implications for human life. Therefore, the purpose of this dissertation is to reflect on Bioethics Culture in research at the university level. Based on fundamental concepts in which culture involves growing and involves promoting life; culture and bioethics are related, acts and behavior patterns that promote human life. The term refers to bios bioethics, which is human life and it, is not univocal and can only think since imprecise and various sides that have generated multiple disciplines. In research in education must be addressed among others, as expressed in the Code of Ethics for Life (2011), in relation to respect for the dignity and inalienable value, respect for their physical and psychological integrity, recognition their rights and respect for objects and achievements that belong to it. Human research can only be done with the prior consent of the person. Finally, a real bioethical reflection will be the result of the debate between the society in which we live and the society we want to live; a debate that will not only consider the "reasons" medical and legal but ethical, historical, social, religious, psychological, anthropological, geographical and economic.
