dc.descriptionThe more important variations of heterotrophic bacteria and their functional structure in the riparian corridor of the lower during the main hydrological stages were determined in this study. The samples were collected in ten stations located on both riverbanks, in three hydrogeological and sanitary opposite landscapes (Almacen (Al) Ciudad Guayana (CG) and Castillos de Guayana (C). Bacterial strains were isolated form cultivated plates and were biochemichally characterized. Functional groups and functional diversity index (IDF) were determined utilizing principal component analysis. Thirty-five functional groups were identified. The highest IDF it was found in the C landscape (0.26) and the lowest in the CG landscape (0.13). The highest IDF was in the high waters stage (0.22) and the lowest registered in low waters stage (0.18). The right margin of the river presented a relatively higher IDF than the left one (0.14 and 0.12 respectively). The results allow to infer in relation to a higher anthropogenic and temporal influence on the functional diversity of the bacterial community.en-US
dc.descriptionEste estudio se enfocó en determinar las variaciones más importantes de las bacterias heterótrofas y su estructura funcional en el agua del corredor ribereño del bajo río Orinoco, durante las principales etapas hidrológicas. Las muestras se colectaron en diez estaciones localizadas a ambas márgenes del río distribuidas en tres paisajes contrastantes por sus características hidrogeológicas y sanitarias (Almacén aguas arriba de Ciudad Bolívar, Ciudad Guayana-estado Bolívar y Castillos de Guayana- estado Delta Amacuro). Se realizaron cultivos en placas para obtener cepas bacterianas las cuales se caracterizaron bioquímicamente para la obtención de los grupos funcionales y la determinación del índice de diversidad funcional (IDF). Se identificaron 35 grupos funcionales, el mayor IDF se encontró en el paisaje Castillos de Guayana (0,26) y la más baja en el paisaje Ciudad Guayana (0,13). Así mismo, el mayor IDF se encontró en la etapa de aguas altas (0,22) y el más bajo se registró en aguas bajas (0,18). El margen derecho del río presentó un IDF relativamente mayor que el izquierdo (0,14 y 0,12 respectivamente). Los resultados de este estudio permiten inferir una alta influencia antropogénica y estacional sobre la diversidad funcional de la comunidad bacteriana en el bajo río Orinoco.es-ES
